Meet my Edward!

Yes, that's right! I named our new baby Edward...Eddie for short. He is a 7 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. We went and picked him up last night and have all fallen in love with him. He is doing really good with house training and has been going to the front door when he needs to pee. Morgan (our older lab) isn't too fond of him but I'm sure she will get use to having a baby around. We are crate training him and he did soooo good last night! I put him to bed at 1am this morning (I'm a night owl) and he cried just a bit and then went to sleep. We didn't hear another sound from him until 8 this morning! He has been trained to use a doggy door but we don't have one. I don't think we will be getting one either because I don't want the little "gifts" that the cats bring to us in the house instead of on the porch! I think he is the perfect addition to our family!

Stitches!

Well, dh and the kids were at Kenzie's softball practice tonight and some balls went over the fence (6ft) so Dakota decided to climb over and get them. On his way back over he slipped and got caught on the fence...by his nose! We spent 3 hours in the ER and he got 6 stiches. It ripped his nostril all the way thru! The dr said it should heal okay as long as he doesn't mess with it and we keep vitamin e oil on it after the stitches come out. He was sent home on antibiotics and lortab. Hopefully the lortab doesn't make him sick like it does me!

Got it!

I got Twilight! :) I tried staying up and watching it last night when I got home from work but I just couldn't do it. Probably a good thing since I had to get up and work this morning. I came home from work and watched it though.

After watching the movie Jim and I got busy and finished up the kids rooms. I still have Kelsie's closet to do but it won't be bad. I have a big bag of baby clothes I am giving my sister in law Shonda...hopefully she has a girl cause most of it is pink! There are a couple of blankets that I am freecycling and then 2 tubs of toys I am going to gt rid of. I will move the file cabinet into my closet and then I will move all her hang up clothes to her closet. She is going to be so excited to have her room all organized. I need to hang up a couple of pictures in there but then I will be finished! Dakota's room is finished too. The only thing left to do in Kay and Kenzie's room is to rehang a shelf. I ended up getting rid of 12 bags of clothes (adult and kids) and 3 bags of bedding on freecycle. It feels so good to get all of that out of my house! Hopefully I can stay on top of the house now!

I heart Edward!

In less then 24 hours I will have my copy of Twilight in my hands!!!! I really can't wait. I have never loved a movie so much. I know people think I'm crazy for liking this movie so much. But, I just have to say, this is my Harry Potter. I didn't care for that one but Twilight I LOVE! I've seen this movie about 10 times already and I'm sure I will watch it at least 100 more. LOL I will be at Walmart as soon after midnight as I can. I am working the crop at Just 4 Keeps and on my way home I am stopping to get my movie.
Edward here I come! :)

Reading

I finally sat down this weekend and read the first book in the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. It is called One for the Money. I've started the second one and am really enjoying them. I'm not sure how many are in the series but I know at least 17. So, these should keep me busy for the next couple of years. LOL

Catch up time!

Kayleigh is such a little ham! She loves having her picture taken. Everytime she sees the camera she asks to have her picture taken. Mommy doesn't mind taking her picture though-she's such a good subject to be shooting!

Softball has started! Kenzie is pitching again this year. She is pretty excited about it. Kayleigh is starting t-ball! Can you believe it? How did she get big enough to play t-ball? Dakota and Kelsie both don't want anything to do with ball. I'm pretty sad that Dakota doesn't want to play baseball. But, if he doesn't want to play we aren't going to make him.
